The Frederick 和 Kazuko Harris 图书馆 Collection is composed of artwork created 和 collected by Frederick Harris (FH) along with items from his art studio. The digitized collection represents art collected 和 created over the span of forty years. A complete finding aid is online at the OhioLINK Finding Aid Repository.

The collection has been organized into two series: Collected Works 和 Created Works. Collected Works includes mostly 瓷, 瓷器, 陶器 vessels; statuettes 和 figurines from many countries throughout Asia; prints; 和 墨. Created Works includes all of FH's sketchbooks, a large number of his finished 烟灰墨 和 水彩 paintings. Some items from the collection are not shown online due to copyright.

Collected Works includes three subseries: 对象, Prints 和 速写, 卷轴. 对象包括 陶瓷 mostly from Japan 和 China, utensils in other media, figurines 和 sculptures from throughout Asia, 水的木偶, 墨. The different items in 陶瓷 include plates, 瓶, 壶, teabowls (or chawan,有盖的罐子, 大口水壶, 花瓶, 茶杯, guinomi (Japanese tea or sake cup). 陶瓷的种类有 瓷, 瓷器, 陶器. Figurines 和 sculpture include representation of deities, 佛陀, 僧侣, 牧师, 动物, some that may be from Japanese Doll Festival displays. Prints 和 速写 includes a set of ukiyo-e prints by Yasuji井上, a set of prints by an unknown artist. The collected sketchbooks have not yet been digitized. 卷轴 includes Japanese hanging scrolls.

Created Works includes two subseries: 绘画 和 速写. FH worked primarily in 烟灰墨 和 水彩. 绘画 by FH are on Japanese paper. Most have been framed. The frames are not easily removed, framed paintings have been measured only in the frame.  Unframed paintings have been attached to a paper backing. Unframed painting measurements do not include the paper backing. 绘画 are signed 和 stamped by FH unless otherwise noted. The subject matter includes temples 和 other structures, 山, 风景, 城镇和村庄, 水上的船, 和数字. 速写 include sketchbooks 和 portfolios of sketches created by FH while in Japan 和 during his travels around the world. Places other than Japan that are often represented include Hawaii 和 California, United States; Malaysia; Việt Nam; Italy; 和 Engl和. Subject matter includes 风景, 海景, genre scenes in towns 和 cities, figures 和 portraits, 和建筑. FH frequently noted the place 和 date of the sketch in a corner of the page. Sometimes he would begin using a sketchbook years after the last time it was used. In a few places, he has transposed the numbers in the year.  FH left space on his sketches at temples so that the residing 牧师 could apply the temple's stamp as proof of his visit. Many of the sketchbooks are only partially filled.

When scanning the sketchbooks, all pages were scanned, including the front 和 back covers, 飞页, blank pages found in-between or on the back of sketched pages. The only pages not scanned were all blank pages found past the last used page.
